AR Market Segment Tracking

Overview:

In addition to the standard Macola 'Customer Type', your company would like to maintain a 'Market Segment' indicator for each Customer. You would like this information exposed on certain view screens and on the OE Order Entry screen.

Proposed Solution:

Flexibility scripts will be written to retrieve the 'Market Segment' from the AR Customer Master file and display it as required.

Detail of Requirements:

AR Customer Maintenance: User Defined Field 1 will be exposed on the AR Customer Maintenance screen to hold the 'Market Segment' assigned to each customer. The field will be initially populated and subsequently updated via the Data Synchronization application (see separate spec).

A textbox will be added to the screens above to display the market segment for the customer. A Flexibility script will retrieve the data and populate the textbox when the form is opened.

Order Entry

In OE Order Entry (Header), when the user enters the Customer Number, a message box will pop up.

In addition, the user may pop-up the form on demand by pressing the {F12} key at any time after entering the Customer Number.
