Check Data Export Utility

Overview:

Your company would like to export certain check data in a format specified by your bank. The export should be 'on demand' and must allow the user to specify the Cash Account and check date range for export.

Proposed Solution:

A Flexibility script will be attached to the Bank Book 'Print Transactions' screen (BBTRXSC1). The screen will be modified by adding a command button labeled 'Export Check Data'.

The command button will expose a new form.

The user will select the Cash Account from the drop-down list and enter a starting and ending check date. The user may elect to check the checkbox to 'include previously exported Checks' in the current export file.

When the user selects the 'Export' command, a standard fixed length text file will be created in a folder (specific location to be determined). The file name will be "Export_.txt".

The export will contain

  • Transactions originating from the Macola Accts Payable or Payroll modules.
  • Check 'issue' transactions
  • Check 'Void' transaction

Exported records will be flagged with an 'X' in the Batch_ID field to indicate that this transaction has already been exported.

Upon completion of the export process, the user will be informed via a standard message box.
