OE Order Ship Status

Overview:

Your company uses a custom Pick Ticket selection program to prioritize the printing of Pick Tickets. The primary criterium for the selection process is the 'fill percentage' of an order. Typically, when 85% of an order is available to ship, the order will be selected. When a customer calls in seeking information about the shipping status of their order, you would like a means to determine the reason that the order has not yet shipped.

Proposed Solution:

A Flexibility script will be written to provide a pop-up screen showing the current availability of the items on the order.

Detail:

The script will be attached to the OE 'View Orders' screen.

After entering the Order No, the user may press the {F12} function key to display a pop-up form.

The header data will display the Order No, Customer Name, , the Order Credit Hold status and the Percent of Line Items Shippable.

  • A line item is considered shippable only if the Qty Ordered is 100% available.

The Line Item data displayed will be drawn from a process that is similar to that used to generate Pick Tickets. The order lines will be assessed for available quantity based on the following process:

  1. Current qty available for an item will be calculated as (Qty on Hand) - (Qty on Open Pick Tickets) - (Line Item Qty Ordered)
  2. If a line item has a dedicated Print List that is not yet reported into inventory, the 'Print List' column will display a 'D' and the Qty Available will automatically be set to 0.
  3. Lines will appear in Line Seq No order.
